She is a free, uncompromising spirit and compulsively kleptomaniac. He is a night-shift worker, stuck in a grey, monotonous warehouse where he can keep his lover —a plastic mannequin rescued from a garbage container. One night, after arguing with her sister, she runs away, sprinting across the neon streets of New York Chinatown, bumping into random passersby and deftly stealing from them. Her spree takes her all the way across the city, until she crashes upon him and his mannequin lover. This fatidic encounter gets abruptly interrupted by the people she’s stolen from, who’ve followed her across the city seeking revenge. Will he side with her, or will he stay faithful to his mannequin and job? Perhaps this random encounter between polar opposites will make them realize that they’re lacking something the other one has.
