Patología mamaria
Breast Pathology is an intimate portrait which sheds light into the relationship between women and their breasts. Throughout several years of recording, Olgha Montero Arce, a painter and actress, remembers her adolescence trying to hide her total absence of breasts, her happiness thanks to implants and, again, the suffering of concealing a disfigured breast after having it damaged in a mammogram.
Biofilmography
Cangas de Onís. She holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she also took courses in Ancient Philosophy and Spanish Literature. She briefly studied film and TV production at the University of Sussex and at the Lighthouse Film and Video Studio in Brighton, England.
She has given courses in audiovisual workshops and organised film dissemination activities such as a retrospective of Asturian short films for the Filmoteca de Asturias, the international seminar Texto y autor en una literatura inadvertida: El Cine, for the University of Oviedo, as well as a script workshop that led to the production of the short film entitled Módulo 10 and a Cycle of films made in Asturias given in the women’s module of the Villabona Penitentiary Centre in Asturias.
She has been a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences since 1995. Currently, as an independent professional, she is a member of the Film and Audiovisual Sectorial Board that collaborates with the Regional Ministry of Culture of the Principality of Asturias.
