Festival de Málaga
The Malaga Festival was born in 1998 and in each of its editions, it has sought to achieve a series of objectives, among them, to favor the dissemination and promotion of Spanish cinematography, to become a national and international benchmark and to contribute to the development of Malaga as an open and cultural city.

SHORT FILMS
The duration of the short films may not exceed 30 minutes.
SHORT FILMS OF SPANISH FICTION OR ANIMATION
Short fiction, animation, or documentary films of Spanish nationality, made after January 1, 2020, that have not been commercially released in theaters, video or television, in Spain. The selection committee will decide in which of the following sections the selected short films will participate:
FICTION OR ANIMATION SHORT FILMS OFFICIAL SECTION or MÁLAGA SHORT FILMS OFFICIAL SECTION (only for those born and/or resident in Malaga or whose production company is based in the province of Malaga).
DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILMS OFFICIAL SECTION Documentary short films with Spanish or Ibero-American production and/or themes, made after January 1, 2020, that have not been commercially released in exhibition, video, or television theaters, in Spain.
FEATURE FILMS AND DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILMS CINEMA COCINA Within its programming, Festival de Málaga develops the CINEMA COCINA section, focused on the relationship between cinema and gastronomy. This section covers those aspects that deal with the daily activity, research, promotion, and dissemination carried out by professionals in the sector, including the agri-food sector, culinary and those associated from a professional perspective (artisan manufacturers of tableware or glassware, architects who develop a restaurant project, etc.) and cultural (sculptors, painters, photographers, editors, etc.). The documentary must be developed in their workspaces (restaurants, orchards, wineries, workshops, workshops, etc.), in locations linked to the functions they perform (cultural events, competitions, training in schools, etc.) or in spaces that in some way have a direct influence on their professional development.

SHORT FILMS MÁLAGA Those short films not included in the final selection of the previous categories and that have been made by production companies based in the province of Malaga and/or directed by filmmakers born, or currently resident in it, may be selected and programmed within the category » Short Films Málaga ‘, thereby opting for the following awards: • Silver Biznaga for the BEST FICTION SHORT FILM endowed with 1,000 euros
• Silver Biznaga for the BEST DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATION OR EXPERIMENTATION SHORT FILM, endowed with 1,000 euros • Silver Biznaga PUBLIC AWARD (**)
