Premios Pávez – Festival Nacional de Cortometrajes Talavera de la Reina

Organized by the Cultural Association «Trax Trex Trix», an entity created for the production, dissemination and promotion of the development of the audiovisual format (fiction, documentary, recording of events).

The distinctive note that characterizes this festival is that it combines an extensive, quality film program with a large awards ceremony, in which the work of all the professionals who make up each of the departments of a film production is recognized. This award ceremony is part of the closing gala of the festival, in which short filmmakers, media professionals and public figures come together to celebrate a great festival of the short; festival of cinema and culture that always has the presence and unconditional support of the renowned actress Terele Pávez; Godmother of these awards to which she gives her name: the Pávez Awards.

Conditions

GENERAL CONDITIONS

– All those natural persons, of legal age, of Spanish nationality or registered in Spanish territory, and / or legal persons legally constituted in Spain, owners of the short films they present, may participate.

– All works whose production date is after January 1, 2020 will be admitted to the contest.

– The maximum duration of short films will not exceed thirty minutes (30:00) with credits included.

– Works of fiction and non-fiction (documentary), in real action or animation are allowed.

– The exhibition copy of the short films not spoken in Spanish must be subtitled in this language.

– The short films submitted to the competition may not be hosted on any Internet portal intended for free viewing. Likewise, short films presented at other festivals, within Spanish territory and outside of it, will be admitted. *

– At the closing ceremony of the Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021, there must be at least TWO representatives of the technical and / or artistic team of the short films nominated for the award, in any of their categories.

– Each author may submit a maximum of two short films.

-There are five competition categories in which participants can participate: Official Section, Autonomous Section, Local Section, Animation and Documentary. The short films programmed in the Official Section and the Animadocu Section (Animation and Documentary categories) will be selected from those registered for National, Autonomous and Local.

– Likewise, participants are informed of the existence of several parallel NON-COMPETITIVE sections. Any short film sent to any section or category may become part of the non-competitive sample selection, if the Selection Committee considers it so. These short films are not eligible for an award.

– Each work may be registered in several categories, as long as it meets the general and specific conditions of each one of them.

– Selected participants must send promotional material about their short films (stills, trailer, synopsis, technical sheet, etc.), when requested by the festival organization. The purposes of use of said material will be exclusively advertising.

– The exhibition copy of the works selected in the Official, Autonomous and Local Section must be sent in DCP format for their correct projection in cinemas.

– The exhibition copies of the rest of the selected works will be sent in .mov or .mp4 in the highest possible quality.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

1. ANIMATED SECTION. ANIMATION CATEGORY: Short film made entirely in animation, and DOCUMENTARY CATEGORY.
2. LOCAL. The short film must meet at least one of these three conditions: Natural producer or registered in Talavera de la Reina, short film shot entirely in Talavera de la Reina, and / or producer with fiscal domicile in the city.
3. AUTONOMOUS. The short film must meet at least one of these three conditions: Natural producer or registered in Castilla La-Mancha, short film shot entirely in said community, and / or producer with fiscal domicile in the autonomous community.

In addition, the short films finalists in the official section will be eligible for a prize (€ 100) in the following technical and artistic categories:
