Mostra de Curtas de Noia

The Vila de Noia Short Film Festival was promoted by the City Council and a group of young people with concerns in the audiovisual world, which made it an event of extraordinary cultural and cinematographic relevance.

The exhibition consists of a selection of films that, due to their thematic variety, attract the attention of a large audience. The criteria followed to make the program offered seeks to always mix the quality with originality provided by the latest film trends.

The Vila de Noia Short Film Festival takes place at the Teatro Coliseo Noela. A recently renovated 1921 building. It can accommodate more than 250 spectators in the courtyard of seats and in its two amphitheaters, and is equipped with the necessary technical means for this type of event.

All professional and amateur productions of fiction and animation short films, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes (credits included), will be able to participate.

The works in the competition must preferably be done in Galician or Spanish. Short films made in a language other than the previous two must necessarily include subtitles in Galician or Spanish.


The prizes will be arranged as follows:

Best Short Film: € 4,000

Best Address: € 700

Best Script: € 500

Xosé Manuel Olveira Pico Award for the Best Actor: € 500

Best Actress: € 500

Special Awards:

Best Animated Short Film: € 1500

Special Prize of the Public: € 1168

Amateur Galicia Short Prize: € 300
